Hand prints or flowers? This Valentine's Day scroll is sure to make you look twice to find out! Make this pretty keepsake as a gift from the heart for your mother, grandmother or aunt on Valentine's Day.
Valentine's Day Scroll
Materials List:
Valentine Handprint Scroll
Craft Instructions:Brush red craft paint on your child's hands, one at a time, and press on the paper. Repeat with the other hand. Paint on simple leaves and stems - you don't have to be picture perfect!
With the makeup sponge and gold paint, sponge gold highlights around the edge of the picture.
Write a personal message in red or gold marker. Here, we put "I love you Mom" but you can write whatever you like, wherever there is space.
Let the picture dry, then roll up and tie the red ribbon around it like a scroll. Hand deliver your Valentine scroll. Later, you (or Mom) can place it in a glass frame to save forever.
Free for personal use only. Teachers and youth club leaders may make multiple copies for students. Otherwise, see our Terms of Service for more information.
Thanks kim that is a great idea for the thumb prints too. if you like this also check out the tissue paper flowers.
I am watching the grand kids tonightg I may have to see if we can make one of these for the kids Daddy. He is in Iraq and I know he will love it. Thank you so much for the great sugestion
We used large hand sized ink pands instead of paints. It was less messy and worked really well.
Excellent craft for using not only on Valentine's Day but also on
Mother's Day!!!!
Thanks!!!
This is a wonderful idea. I am always looking for different ways to use hand prints. You could even use a foot for a tulip type flower.. and a thumb print for the leaves!!! :)
Awesome! Simple; fairly quick and paintless (just kidding). Very memorable!
