White Rose Clay Pot Candle Holder

Here's a simple terra cotta candle holder that will add a romantic note to bridal showers, wedding tables, Valentine's Day ... or that anticipated tête-à-tête evening with someone special to you.

Craft Supplies:

Clay Pot (or pot of choice)
White and Metallic gold Patio paint
Paint brush
Paper or ribbon roses of choice
3 white ribbon leaves
Spanish moss or glass votive holder
Candle
Hot glue

Craft Project Instructions:

Paint your clay pot with white paint and allow to dry. A second coat of paint may be required; if so, allow this to dry as well.

Dip the paint brush in gold paint and dab excess paint onto a sheet of paper towel. Working randomly around the pot, gently rub on a small amount of gold paint. Allow this to dry completely.

Hot glue white silk flower buds along the outside top rim of your pot, as shown in our photo.

Glue three white leaves behind a single rose bud and glue in place at the centre front of your pot. Optional: you could repeat this step on the opposite side of the pot, so the single rose can be viewed on either side of a table.

Place a glass votive holder into the top of the terra cotta pot.

As always... Never leave a burning candle unattended!

Variations:

Change around the rose colors for different effects - consider a red and white design for Valentine's Day or Canada Day; red, white and blue for Independence Day in the U.S., silk rosebuds to coordinate with your wedding colors, or even roses in your sport team colors for that victory dinner at the end of the season.
