Turtle Critter

I have a small collection of turtle figures in my yard. So, my five-year-old nephew decided to make this little charmer for my birthday. On the inside of the body, he wrote my birth date and signed it. Very Cute!

Craft Supplies:

Turtle pattern
4 inch clay pot saucer
tacky glue
green patio paint
green and orange foam
Wiggly eyes

Craft Project Instructions:

Paint your clay pot saucer green and allow to dry completely. Cut out pattern pieces from green foam and, referring to the photo, glue the foam legs and head in place.

Cut out a few bits of orange and green foam and glue to the saucer randomly.

. Glue one wiggly eye to each side of the head.

Note: My nephew used tacky glue for this project and so far it's holding up well outdoors, but I don't move it around when it's wet either. If you plan on outdoor use, you should use a silicone based glue like household goop or E6000 (this glue is not safe for children, so please be sure to have an adult use this glue).
