Inspired by the simplicity of nature, this is an easy beading jewellery project requiring no special tools.
Suggested Supplies:
Motley Cord Necklace
Project Instructions:
1. Start by cutting 18” of cotton cord. Loop one end of the cord around your bone ring and knot it twice.
2. String beads in the following pattern:
a. olive wood bead (tuck the excess cord from your knot into the bead’s hole, and trim cord so it’s not sticking out the other end of the bead)
b. BeadAligner (push the peg of the BeadAligner into the olive wood bead; make sure the olive wood bead is tight against the cord knot)
c. black horn bead, BeadAligner, olive wood bead, BeadAligner, black horn bead
d. green/purple coin bead, black horn bead, BeadAligner, olive wood bead, BeadAligner, black horn bead
e. tan/multicolor coin bead, black horn bead, BeadAligner, olive wood bead, BeadAligner, black horn bead
f. beige/black coin bead, black horn bead, BeadAligner, olive wood bead, BeadAligner, black horn bead
g. green/purple coin bead (this will be the symmetrical center of the piece)
h. mirror the pattern done thus far; in other words, follow steps g. through a. in reverse (see image for help).
3. To finish, pull the end of the cord through the hole in the center of your bone feather, and knot it twice. Tuck any excess cord into the last wood bead on your piece; glue in place if desired.
