How to Crochet a Horse or Unicorn
I have removed the horse and unicorn pattern previously featured on this page (pictured at left) after finding out that the pattern, as submitted to me, was virtually the same as a pattern designed by Fran Goreham in 2003. Fran's pattern, called Clop and Ali, was featured in the April 2004 issue of Crochet World.
I know many people will be disappointed that the pattern is gone, because Fran is a talented designer and her horse and unicorn were cute and universally engaging. However, we now have a free pattern to make a Crocheted Toy Pony, (shown at right), complete with saddle and halter, which is sure to warm the heart of all horse lovers.I've also found some great links to other horse and unicorn crochet patterns to share with you:
Amara the Unicorn- Offered as a free PDF file by Katrina's Crochet Creations
Miniature Horse- Offered as a free pattern on CrochetVille forum; part of a barnyard set that also includes a pig, cow, chicken and duck.

I really wish you had not removed that pattern of the larger horse. I had it downloaded on my pc and am half way through the horse I am making for my niece and my pc crashed and I need it to finish. please if you can bring it back or something, help a fellow crafter out.
thanks
Karen, I have sent you an email about this issue. Please check your inbox.
