Sugar and Spice Bath Salts
by Jane Lake
This is a bath salts recipe you can give to anyone who enjoys soaking in the bath - even the men in your life. The spicy fragrance is warm and comforting, and there's no need to buy essential oil.
Sugar and Spice Bath Salts
Use half epsom saltsEmpty into a mixing bowl and, if you like, thoroughly stir in a few drops of red and green food coloring to enhance the golden brown color.
Tie a few lengths of raffia around the neck of the jar, and remember to seal it with the inner plastic cap before screwing on the metal lid with holes in it.

Can you use ice cream salt in place of sea salt?
I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to this one, as I'm unsure what ice cream salt is - perhaps another reader can help us with the answer.
I have been searching for a site such as this with the means to indulge yourself, at present I purchase my goods from The Soap Cauldron. I love their products & so inspired me too research further to which brings me to this very informative site. Good work people & thank you for all the information.

I used it for a ladies night, and they loved it. They loved how easy it was and how good it smelled
How long will this keep? I would love to make these bath salts for my craft shows but I need to know their shelf life. Also do I have to add anything to keep the salts from clumping together?
I am fully certified in the UK/EU to make and sell soap and bath salts as well as other bath and body products. In the UK/EU 26 allergens have to be declared if present above a certain percent this also includes allergens that naturally occur in Essential Oils
If fragrant oils was to put health at risk they would not be allowed on the certification and soapers would not get the insurance cover of 2-5 million. Health is always at risk if you suffer from allergies so always read the labels, and fully certified soapers declare all allergens. Cinnamon is often a sensitive one but i found i can use it fine when its mixed with pear :o)
Happy Making and keep the recipies up..
Thanks for the great ideas! Do you think I could use just epsom salts instead of both epsom and sea salt? I'm trying to keep the cost as low as possible. Thanks!
