Cow Collectors Cutie Pie Cow Pan

by Twila Lenoir

First, I must say, I never understood why people collect cows. Now I know why - she is such a cutie! If you are a collector of country cows, or know someone who is, consider making this cutie pie to put on your wall.

Cutie Pie Cow Pan

Instructions:

This project is made on the back side of a pie pan.

I first drilled a hole in the rim of the pie pan, to use for the hanger. If you don't have a drill, you can also make a hole with a hammer and a fat nail.

Paint the back of the pie pan black, in a half circle on both sides, leaving the center like a bow tie. Paint the middle area white - you will probably need two coats to cover it completely.

When the paint is dry, glue on the white nose, then the pink felt, with two black circles for nostrils. Glue the tongue under the white part of the nose. Glue the eyes in a cocked direction, not straight up and down. Glue the eye lashes above the google eyes. I clipped the eye lashes, three strand, because I thought they were a bit wide for the eyes, but yours might be fine.

Make a bow with the thin ribbon and place it at the top of the pan where the pan lays flat.

mycutiepiepan2 (7K) String up your bell and glue onto the bottom of the pan, hanging down far enough away from the pan so that you can hear the bell ring. Make another bow with wide ribbon or paper twist and glue it over the top of the area where you glued on the bell.

For the ears, scrunch up the straight part of the ears, so they take on a slightly concave ear shape, and glue onto the top sides of the pan.

Lastly, take a small piece of wire and poke the two ends thru the hole and with pliers bend the wire in a knot, then pull back thru and you have a loop for hanging. Enjoy!
