    Clay Pot Angel

    by Jane Lake

Combine a few natural supplies, including a twig wreath halo, to create an easy-to-make clay pot angel.

    Clay Pot Angel Nature Craft

    Supplies:

    • 2-½ inch clay pot
    • 2 inch wooden ball
    • angel wing shape - craft foam or wood
    • heart shape - craft foam or wood
    • raffia
    • fine textured craft moss or potpourri
    • coarse textured craft moss or doll hair
    • 2-½ inch twig wreath
    • small dried rosebuds or flower buds
    • craft glue and hot glue
    • fine Sharpie or permanent marker
    • flesh colored acrylic paint
    • tiny amount of pink paint, crayon or lipstick

    Clay Pot Angel

    Project Instructions:

    1. Glue fine moss or potpourri all around the rim of the clay pot, using tacky craft glue or hot glue. Randomly add small dried rosebuds or other flower buds on top of the moss. Turn the clay pot upside down and set aside.

    2. Paint the wooden ball in flesh tone and let dry. Hot glue the ball to the top of the overturned pot. Use the Sharpie pen to draw on simple facial features. Carefully add a small dot of pink lipstick, paint or crayon as blush on the cheeks.

    3. Glue the angel wings to the back of pot.

    4. Tie a small raffia bow and glue it to the front of the angel. Glue the heart shape on top of the bow.

    5. Glue coarse craft moss in place as hair. Glue the twig wreath on top of the hair as the angel's halo.

This is exactly what I was looking for! My daughter is having a tea party for her 11th Birthday and this will be a great craft to keep the girls occupied with! Thank you for sharing.
