A treble crochet or a triple crochet is made by looping the yarn around your crocheting hook 3 times then stick it into the loop of your project and pull up 1 loop. You'll then have 4 loops on your crocheting hook. Yarn over/wrap the yarn around your hook once and then pull that 5th stich thru two loops, continue to "loop over and pull thru two stiches on your hook" two more times and then the stich is complete. It is like doing what we American's call a double crochet but with three loops on your hook rather than two.

Thank you for sharing this idea with us. I have to make a present for an 11 year old girl's birthday. I think this will be perfect and won't be a waste of too much time if it's not appreciated or gets lost.
