For these ornaments you can use a glass ornament, styrofoam ball or pretty much anything that is round and can accomodate a hanging ribbon. Just wrap your doily around your ornament and tie with a ribbon to secure.

Use a little hot glue to attach a few tiny flowers, pinecones, Christmas greenery or other embellishments.

Great for young and young at heart. This would even be nice for a church project with inspirational fabrics. Thank you!

I am going to make ornaments with my children at school. Niffty and easy. I am going to use paper instead of cloth. I hope it works.

Last year for Thanksgiving Favors, I took votive holders, left from my daughter's wedding, and covered them with striped Christmas paper and decoupaged the paper to the holder with half water/half glue. I found some tiny ornaments for a mini tree, inexpensive, and tied one to each holder with a piece of twine. Add a tealight and you have a holder everyone will love! Adapt the paper and tie to your taste or for male and female, or use with a name tag stuck inside.

What a pretty idea.Thank you.
Have you seen the Nativity made from cinnamon sticks,
cloves and star anise? I saw it in N.C.,thought I could remember
how to make it,but it's gone from my head.

My daughter-in-law did this for Christmas this year. She has a 8 foot tree so she took 6 inch styrofoam balls and wrapped them in different fabrics and tied a ribbon on the top of each one. They are all different and they look absolutely stunning on her large tree. I am doing this next year!

Great idea. My children like me to make them new ornaments every year. I'm going to use smaller balls and use natural materiels around the tops with the ribbon.
