Tired of double-cupping your take-out coffee or using logo-splattered coffee cuffs? Knit your own coffee cozy, and protect your hands from those hot take-out coffees, with this free knitting pattern.
Supplies:

size 7mm needles
small amount of chunky wool (I used Bernat Softee Chunky)
wool needle to sew seam
Skill level:
Beginner/simple.
Directions (monochrome):
Loosely cast on 22 stitches. Knit three rows
*Purl row
Knit row*
Repeat * to * twice (total six rows in stocking stitch)
Knit 3 rows and bind off tightly, leaving a long end to sew seam.
Directions (two-tone variation):Loosely cast on 22 stitches in main colour.
Knit three rows then change to secondary colour.
*Purl row
Knit row*
Repeat * to * twice (total six rows in stocking stitch)
Change to main colour and knit 3 rows.
Bind off tightly, leaving a long end to sew seam.

this well be fun also i made something like this for water bottles so the waterbottle don't get mix up. i did put things on then that went with the person. like flowers name etc, thank you for great ideals
I just made this. It was actually the first thing I've knitted and finished. It didn't come out very pretty compared to the pictures, but I'll probably make it again when I'm a bit better. For any other beginners: make it loose, esp. when binding. Mine just barely fits on a cup.
I can't believe this is the first I've seen this. What fun.
