How to Make a Cobweb Remover from a Garden Glove

by Jane Lake

Here's how to make a very useful cobweb remover from a garden glove and a broomstick. After you use this practical cleaning helper just once, you'll wonder how you managed without it!

Craft Project Supplies:

  • garden glove
  • broomstick
  • stuffing
  • ribbon
  • glue
  • piece of dowel or a wooden spoon handle to help pack the stuffing

Garden Glove Cobweb Remover Instructions:

cobwebber2 (14K)1. Pack a little stuffing into the top of the middle finger of the garden glove.

2. Apply a little craft glue or hot glue to the top of the broomstick and wrap about a half inch of stuffing around it. When the glue dries enough to hold the stuffing in place, insert the broom handle into the middle finger of the glove.

3. Begin packing more stuffing into all the fingers and the thumb of the glove. Use a piece of dowel, wooden spoon handle, or something similar to help pack the stuffing snugly into the glove.

4. Continue adding stuffing until the glove is well packed and sits firmly on the broom stick.

6. Tie a narrow ribbon tightly around the wrist area of the glove. Add a bow for decoration.

How to Use the Garden Glove Cobwebber

Extend your new helping hand up to the ceiling, in high corners, or along the top of walls to remove stray cobwebs that you can't reach normally.

Clean the cobwebs off the glove with a stiff brush.
