    Sewing Tips

Tricks and tips to make sewing chores a little easier.
    Sewing Buttons
~ Secure four hole buttons by sewing through two holes and tying off the thread. Repeat for the other two holes. Now, if one side breaks lose, the button will still be held by the other side.

~ Dental floss makes a strong, unbreakable thread to sew on shank buttons.
    Pins and Needles
~ Use a bar of soap as a pin cushion; it lubricates pins and needles so they slip through fabric easily.

~ When marking a skirt hem, mark the level from the floor on a plunger. Set the plunger on the floor, and move it around as a quick visual guide; this leaves your hands free to mark and pin.

    Christmas Bells

Knit or crochet some Christmas Jingle Bells
