I just added this super hooded crochet scarf pattern to the crochet section, and I really like the textured design.

You can make this in a single color, as shown in the sample of sunshine yellow – but I think it would look really striking with the textured ridges worked up in a contrasting color.

Ripple designs are popular for a reason, and you can easily see why when you look at the luxurious wavy effect of the warm purple hues worked into this ripple scarf pattern.

From the same designer as the ripple scarf comes this delightful spiral design, which looks like such fun to crochet.

I’ve crocheted flowers like this, that form the spiral as you work, and it fascinates me to see how the pattern just seems to take on a life of its own.
