I love this pretty magnetic pincushion, designed to wear around your wrist, by Ramona King or Northbrook Designs.
I visit Ramona’s blog at least a few times a year, and I’m always pleased to see her new tutorials. The Magnetic Pincushion Tutorial is a free, four-page, PDF download which includes detailed photos and and clearly outlined step-by-step instructions. You’ll need fabric, batting, magnetic strips, and about four inches of sew-on velcro to make it.
You can, if you wish, use Romona’s tutorial to make these magnetic pincushions to sell, providing you give credit where due, and identify her properly as the designer. I think they would make great bazaar items or fundraisers, don’t you?
Romona is a crafter and mixed media artist. You can visit her on theNorthbrook Designs blog or in the Northbrook Designs shop.
If you need an even smaller pincushion idea, try the little Bottle Cap Pincushion Ring that I posted a few years back, which fits around your finger instead of the wrist.
