Easy Homemade Valentines

Paint your own paper doilies, rather than buying expensive metallic doilies, to create these easy homemade Victorian Valentine Cards. You can make these in a postcard style, or as single-fold cards.

We’ve included some lovely Victorian clipart to choose from, or search for Victorian clipart online, for lots of other possibilities.

Pick up some blank cards, cardstock and some pretty scrapbooking paper to make one of four Homemade Valentine Cards, similar to the one shown here, at left. Although it is optional, you can even embellish the cards with your sewing machine, if you want to get really fancy!

Tissue Paper Valentine Cards are also very easy to do with the same technique used to make paper snowflakes.

For kids too young to make cards, make a pretty Valentine Scroll for mom or grandma, using the child’s handprints. It’ll be a Valentine treasure not soon forgotten, I guarantee!
