Terra Cotta and Clay Pot Crafts

If you’re a gardener, or you buy indoor plants from time to time, chances are you have an assortment of terra cotta pots stashed away somewhere, ready for recycling. Even if you don’t, clay pots of all dimensions can be found at the craft store, with regular sizes available at most hardware or garden centers.

These simple clay pots, and the saucers that go with them, can be transformed into candle holders, sculptures, topiaries and other works of art. They can be decorated with paint, antique finishes or mosaics. You can use them as planters (how novel!) or simply as containers for candy, homemade gifts, or your special collection of sea glass, fossils or seashells.

There were so many craft projects that used clay pots scattered throughout AllFreeCrafts that I thought it was time to organize them in some fashion. So here you go, almost 30 different: Terra Cotta and Clay Pot Crafts, from angels and dragonflies, to scarecrows and witches, with lots of variations in between.
