Felt Snowman or Santa

felt santafelt snowmanI bought some felt sheets on sale the other day, and was looking for some Christmas crafts to make with it. Then I realized that, even with over 90 craft projects in the Christmas craft section of AllFreeCrafts, there weren’t any using felt! I checked my Christmas index and found dozens of Christmas crafts made from craft fun foam, recycled lightbulbs, recycled cards, and all manner of other materials (so many, obviously, that even I forget all of what’s there), but there was nothing in felt.

Well, that couldn’t be allowed to continue, so I was tickled when I found these Kunin felt Christmas craft projects in the web archive Wayback Machine. On the project index page, it says that “If you are a teacher, retail store manager, or just an avid crafter, please feel free to copy these projects and share them with students, customers, friends and family.” Whoo-eee!!!

So here you go: an adorable Felt Snowman and an equally appealing Felt Santa, both of them pretty easy to stitch together by hand using blanket stitch. There’s a small PDF pattern file included with each project, so you can just print out the pattern, cut out the pieces, and assemble fairly quickly.

For some reason, when Kunin Felt redesigned their site, these project sheets were left out, but they seemed too nice to me to let them languish in the web archives. If you’d like to see the newest collection of holiday crafts by Kunin, check out the free Project Sheets page on their site. When I looked today, they had some nice kid’s slippers, Halloween decorations and the cutest Panda pillow.
