Beaded Christmas Crafts & Ornaments

I just added this cute Beaded Christmas Tree Pattern, which is suitable for kids or adults to try. Use it to make a pendant, an ornament, or to craft a pair of Christmas tree earrings.

You could use these fancy Beaded Christmas Ornament Hooks to hang the tree - or make several to hang a special collection of Christmas ornaments. Supplies needed are minimal; you can get by with just a length of wire, and one to three beads per hook.


Kids will enjoy making Beaded Star Ornaments, which are easy enough for even small children to accomplish. The basic technique involves twisting chenille stems together in a star shape, then threading craft beads onto each stem.


Along the same lines is this beading pattern to make a variety of Beaded Christmas Ornaments, all from one very simple arrangement of three chenille stems. You’ll be surprised at the creativity that is possible here - we give directions to make a beaded bird cage, a spiral, a seashell, a flower, and bow shapes; all accomplished following the same basic directions, then shaped with a flick of the wrist.

The selection of beads is infinite, so a group of kids making this free craft will all come up with something unique to them. The chenille stems seem to be fairly resilient once threaded with the beads, so the kids can have some fun twisting them about and trying several shapes before settling on their final design.
