Lavender water can be used as a light cologne, a facial spritz, and addition to your bath water, or as a linen spray. You might call it old-fashioned, because it’s been valued for centuries for its pleasant scent, which is said to have a romantic, yet calming effect. Here’s a simple recipe for homemade hand sanitizer, scented with lavender fragrance oil (if you substitute lavender essential oil, reduce the number of drops, adding just enough to get the scent you want) :
Lavender Hand Sanitizer
1/4 cup aloe Vera gel
1/4 cup vodka
10 drops fragrance oil
Mix all ingredients and store in a pump bottle. Dispense as needed.
