I am delighted to offer this free knitting pattern to make a fancy beaded scarf, in a light, lacy zigzag pattern, that can be made with or without the full complement of beads.
Designer Kristina, aka as Brouhaha in blogging circles, is addicted to knitting and lace-making, but this is her first foray into publishing her own design. I discovered that Kristina is practically a neighbour of mine, hailing from a wooded area near Toronto, whereas I’m in the middle of rural Ontario horse-and-buggy Mennonite country - but, in Canadian terms, that definitely makes us near neighbours. So nice to feature the work of such a talented fellow canuck!
You’ll find all the details, lots of photos, full instructions and useful design notes on this Shazam Beaded Scarf page.
The Feather and Fan Scarf, shown at right, is the creation of designer Wendy D. Johnson, and is worked in a handpainted cashmere yarn and, of course, the versatile feather and fan stitch.
