Antique knitting patterns hold a fascination for me because they pass on the creativity of one generation for use by another; this antique scarf is a case in point. Originally published as a Beehive booklet in 1915, this knitted scarf features a fancy pattern that you should find relatively easy to accomplish.
Of course, you will have to find a modern yarn and knitting needles (unless you are lucky enough to own great-grandma’s hand-me-down celloloid knitting needles in Size 8). This shouldn’t be a problem, however; all you need do is stick to a simple gauge of about 6-1/2 stitches to the inch.
