Clothes Hanger Crafts
Braided Clothes Hanger, shown at left, is a great way to recycle plastic shopping bags; cut the bags into loops, loop the loops together in strings, and use the plastic strings to braid around a clothes hanger. Although a plastic hanger was used in our sample, you can also tape together two wire coat hangers to use as the base. 
Lace Coat Hanger, shown at right, is a feminine addition to the clothes closet. A no-sew, glue gun project that is very easy to make, this hanger is scented with potpourri and would make a lovely bazaar craft or homemade gift for a wedding shower.
Coat Hanger Christmas Tree uses six wire coat hangers, assembled with twist ties and wrapped in Christmas tree garlands and lights. So effective, no one will ever guess its humble origins!
You’ll need lots of lots of yarn loops, or 200 sandwich bags, to cover a wire hanger and make the Coat Hanger Wreath, shown at right.
