Take advantage of lavender harvesting time to make yourself, or someone else, some pleasing lavender crafts. Brand new to the site is this Lavender Fan, (at left) easily made from long-stemmed lavender and a variety of ribbon, yard or metallic cord. Lavender Wands (at right) are made in a similar way, by weaving ribbon under and over the lavender stems, although Lavender Bottles, on the same page, use the stems themselves to encase the fragrant flower buds.
On my Creative-Home site, you’ll find information on Growing and Using Lavender, including cultivation and propagation, instructions on how to make economical Lavender Sachets from used dryer sheets, plus a
discussion on the medicinal
uses of lavender and recipes for Lavender lemonade, lavender tea, and even Lavender and Sage Aftershave Lotion for the men in your life.
Lavender Bath Salts can be made as easily as adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to epsom salts, but you can also check out my favorite recipe for Aromatherapy Lavender Bath Salts, which includes a free printable jar label and instructions on how to make decorative jars of bath salts for gift giving.
