Corral Yourself a Crocheted Horse
The cute crocheted horse (shown at left) is based on our popular pattern for a crocheted horse or unicorn (pictured at right).
Rebecca Bowen wanted a larger version of the original, so she used a size J crochet hook and Super Saver yarn, rather than the specified G hook and worsted weight yarn. You can see a bigger picture of Rebecca’s crocheted horse on her blog.
This pattern is good to make for either boys or girls. Rebecca’s son, Matthew, is already carrying his new friend all over the house!
Additional News: Last week, a reader emailed me asking about a discrepancy in this horse pattern. She correctly identified that the wrong number of remaining sc stitches was given for Round 15 and Round 18. This puzzled me, because although I haven’t tried the pattern myself, many people have…and no one, until Irene, mentioned this error!
I asked Irene to share a picture of her horse, and she kindly obliged…so now we have this beautiful filly to add to the herd. And, of course, I have corrected the pattern.
Thanks, Irene!
