I’ve recently been exploring, with great enjoyment, the Creative Commons site. Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that offers ”a flexible range of protections and freedoms for authors, artists, and educators. We have built upon the “all rights reserved” concept of traditional copyright to offer a voluntary “some rights reserved” approach.”
It’s a concept that is worth exploring. You can search for audio, video, images, text and educational resources, among other things, so of course I went searching for free crafts. I found some lovely knitting, crochet and sewing patterns which were generously made available under a “Some Rights Reserved” license. Essentially, you can’t use most of these patterns for commercial use, but lots of other uses are allowed. If you need more information, just click on the applicable Creative Commons license link that you will find on the following pages:

There are three additional knitting patterns - a wonderful XL size Tweedy Sweater, Japanese Lantern Scarf, and a pretty Feather and Fan Scarf pictured in a lovely handpainted cashmere yarn.
I hope you enjoy these Creative Commons patterns as much as I do!
