I’m thrilled with the new knitting patterns just added to AllFreeCrafts - there’s something for everyone from beginner to expert, and from high-tech to old-fashioned!
First up, how about a Cell Phone Cozy to protect your high-tech cellphone when it’s buried in your purse? Or maybe you’ll bury your cell phone in Grandma’s Straw Shopping Tote when you see how easy it is to knit this old-fashioned shopping bag from raffia.
Those three little kittens who lost their mittens would love a new pair of Striped Mittens or, if you’re pushed for time, a pair of Two Needle Mittens.
College students might appreciate a Ribbed Watch Cap, a Garter Stitch Scarf, a pretty Knitted Cardiganor this matching Gloves and Hat set.
Thinking Christmas in July? Why not knit everyone in the family a new pair of Knitted Slippers, make a lovable Knitted Santa, or use up your yarn scraps to make wee Knitted Christmas Tree Ornaments.
Knitting Tips:
Think safety first when knitting toys for infants or tots - buttons, beads or other sewn on items might look great to adults, but could lead to disaster if a small child pulls them off and chokes on them. Instead, embroider the little details like eyes or buttons.
