Hot Glue Tips
Here are some free tips to remember when using your hot glue gun:
Have glue strings on your hot glue project? Use a embossing tool to melt those strings away.
Store your glue sticks in a shoe box with a few cone incense then, when you are hot gluing, you get a nice scent.
You can correct a mistake that you made with hot glue by placing the object on wax paper, then in the microwave for 1 minute (note: don’t try this with metal objects).
A glue gun will slowly drip glue from the tip when the gun is heated, so always set it upright, over a clay pot saucer or newswpaper, to catch the drips.
Put hand lotion on your hands before hot gluing to help prevent the glue from sticking and burning your hands.
When gluing lace and thin material with hot glue, protect your fingers by wearing a metal thimble.
Caution: Hot glue guns can be dangerous and should not be used by children.
